Based – Glasgow, Scotland
Contract – Permanent - 21 hours per week.
Salary - £18,696 per annum
About Prospect
Prospect is the trade union of choice for professional, technical and managerial staff in a range of occupations across the public and private sectors – our members vary from nuclear physicists and engineers to film directors and cinematographers – with many more in between, currently our membership stands at 150,000.

Prospect is seeking to recruit an Executive Assistant to support the negotiations team covering our Bectu Sector membership in Scotland. This is a permanent position with a 21-hour working week, to allow for flexibility. You will need to have a positive attitude, excellent attention to detail and good organisational skills to ensure the highest level of service is provided to Prospect Members and to the team around you.
The Glasgow office supports Staff and Freelance members working across Scotland and the Northeast of England within the Bectu sector of Prospect. Our members work in Theatre and the Arts, Live Events, Film Production and in TV and rely on the Glasgow office to provide them with support and advice on a wide range of collective and Individual issues.
Specifically, the applicants should have:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Strong team working skills
- Comprehensive administration skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
- Diary management and travel arrangements
- Experience dealing with expenses
- Strong IT skills, including use of MS Teams, Zoom with the ability to pick up new digital platforms quickly
- Ability to solve problems in a professional manner
- Influencing skills
- Ability to follow processes and systems
- Understanding of GDPR and maintaining confidentiality
