Data Insight Specialist

Location: London, Waterloo

Salary £48,077 (plus inner London weighting of £3,160)

Job type: 18 month FTC - 35 hours per week

What’s the role?

As our Data Insight Specialist you will support senior leaders in the organisation to make better use of the data available to them, helping to use your research skills to design, provide analysis and advice. You will be responsible for regular membership data updates, running reports and advising on how this data relates to key union objectives. Working to our Data Insight Manager, you will join a growing team bringing together our membership, communications, IT and member-facing functions to develop our data insight.

Your role will be varied, working with different membership teams and supporting our objectives across different areas of our membership.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Experienced PowerBI user
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Data visualisation skills

Essential Experience

  • Experience and understanding of the trade union movement and/or membership organisations.
  • Experience of working proactively, self-managing time and workload.
  • Experience of creating dashboards & reports
  • Experience analysing large data sets and finding patterns in data
  • Ability to work in a team and work using initiative
